And it made me realize, long after we're gone, all our kids will have left to look at, will be pictures of us. How will we leave a legacy of love, life experiences and wisdom, if these memories aren’t preserved?

It truly seems like yesterday since I first moved to our beautiful, charming, southern town of Hattiesburg. I remember walking into a cute children’s boutique shopping for my then one-year-old daughter, when the shop owner asked me if I knew of anyone that took good pictures that could come and do a children’s shoot during Christmas while the moms shopped. And….
The beach has always been a very special time for our family! We have been going every year for the past twelve years. It is always a time to fully relax and focus on each other! The waves of the ocean always remind me of how God feels about us. His love is beyond measure. We can’t really “see” all of the ocean or its depth or vastness, yet we know it’s there! The waves are unending and inevitable Much like His love for us. I treasure these times with my loved ones! (Isaiah 43:2)

It’s no surprise that family photography found me. I’ve had a camera in my hand nearly all my life. My dad gave me my first Minolta camera as a teen and I’ve never been without that urge, that need, that every- second- desire to take that shot! I can’t help myself! I love to take it with me everywhere I go! You’ll rarely see me without it! My love for my own family overflows into my work world. Photography is the perfect fit for me.
